QE Theatre Academy Presents Jesus Christ Superstar School Production
This February, QE Theatre Academy brings Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s iconic rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar to the stage. A landmark production in modern musical theatre, the show explores the final days of Jesus’ life through powerful music and unforgettable storytelling, told from a uniquely human and contemporary perspective. Audiences can expect a thrilling live score and emotionally charged performances, featuring well‑known numbers such as “Superstar,” “Gethsemane,” “I Don’t Know How to Love Him,” and “Heaven on Their Minds.”
Performed by a talented cast of students, the production showcases the dedication, creativity, and professionalism of young performers working with an experienced creative team. Jesus Christ Superstar remains as relevant today as when it first premiered, raising timeless questions about leadership, loyalty, faith, and humanity, while delivering an electrifying rock soundtrack that continues to captivate audiences of all ages.
