The Queen Elizabeth's Educational Foundation is an Educational Charity. The modern version of this charity was established in 1996 when a number of individual charities pertaining to education in Crediton were amalgamated in consultation with the Charities Commission.
QE has links dating back to 1547 and the original Foundation Charities date back to 1921.
The Foundation provides a wide variety of support and financial assistance for the new Academy and its past and present pupils up to the age of 25.
The Foundation provides bursary grants for students leaving the Academy to go on to University, Further Education, Apprenticeships and Vocational Training, to assist in the purchase of books. It also considers requests from students and staff, through the Principal, to provide funds for educational visits or equipment for extra - curricular activities.
