We will always try to keep the School open, unless this would put the safety of students, staff and parents at risk.
On a day when there is snow forecast, or very icy conditions, we aim to publish up to date information on this website by 7.30 am, with further updates as we have them. If the decision is taken to close the School, this will be communicated to parents and carers via email, text, social media and on this website. If school transport runs in the morning, the companies are bound by contract to return students home; should the weather deteriorate during the day, we will either allow students on particular transport routes to leave early or close the whole School early.
Severe weather arrangements for transport.
In cases where buses cannot run because of severe weather, a message will appear on this website and local radio stations will be informed, usually by 7.30am. Devon County Council will also update their school transport website with further information on any route closures/changes. Their transport code of conduct can also be found here:
