Home Learning

Home learning is vital because it…

  • Reinforces work that is completed in class, refines and sharpen skills and further deepens knowledge.
  • Gives teachers further opportunities to assess you and provide valuable feedback.
  • Allows you to think independently and take responsibility for your learning.
  • Gives your Parents/Carers an opportunity to be involved in your education.

Regularly talking about your learning with your Parent/Carer is important. We would always encourage you to talk to your Parents/Carers about what you have learnt during the day – it helps you to remember it in the future.

Setting of home learning

This is set according to the home learning timetable and is supported by Knowledge Organisers. It is designed to support learning in lessons by students practising learning, recall and self-testing.

For Years 10-11 we use TEAMS to set, monitor and record home work.
