Teens and Parents Pack: It is important at this time, more than ever, to undertake activities to vary our days, and give us a sense of purpose. This can help our mental health, and by sharing in activities we can maintain social connections, help others and grow a sense of personal well being. Please click on the preceding link to access information from our partners at Young Devon which has been put together so that Parents and Carers can help their young people to make sense of it all. Please read through the activities and advice, and feel free to choose any that you think would be beneficial for you and your family members.
Young Persons Guide to Keeping Children Safe: from the Children's Commissioner
Free Online Courses for the Residents of Devon, Torbay and Plymouth. The Solihull Approach to parenting is a well established and highly rated programme in which we, at QE, have trained practitioners. This offers free online courses for parents to follow, regardless of the age of their children. It is non judgmental, evidence based and aims to help us understand our child(ren) from a neurological, behavioural and developmental perspective. This in turn changes the way we approach parenting, and can have a dramatic impact on a child's behaviour, and our relationship with them. At a time when we are all finding things difficult, we thoroughly recommend these free courses to all parents.
