On the 28th September, 22 QE Sixth Form students spent the day undertaking First Aid training. Students who complete the course successfully will be issued with a certificate in Emergency First Aid which is valid for 3 years. This was a fantastic opportunity to learn life-saving skills and is a valuable addition to our student’s CV’s and University applications.
Lorien Salmon, a Year 13 student said “The First Aid course was extremely useful, and I left feeling confident that if I was in the position of needing to provide first aid, I could calmly and effectively do so. Both ladies who ran the course were very knowledgeable, and answered all questions thoroughly. I feel I gained numerous skills in a short space of time, including dealing with minor injuries, blood loss, choking and administering CPR. It was a beneficial experience, and very worthwhile knowing I now have the registered skills and certificate if the situation arose.”
Well done to all our students who took part and succeeded in their training.
