West Exe fulfilled their Exeter & East Devon Cup commitments by bringing a small but dedicated team to Barnfield to play QE’s U14 boys last month.
After a slow start the QE team found themselves down 26-10 at half time. With the encouragement of many peers and parents, the QE boys bounced back and rose to the challenge eventually winning.
Mr Tearle, a PE teacher at QE said “A special mention must go out to Freddie Blackburn who stepped up a year and played superbly. Also to Peter Maunder, who made his school debut and showed great attacking and defensive capabilities. Thank you to West Exe for still taking part with a shortened team.”
Onwards to the next round for QE!
