QE Year 9 students have been using their textile skills to create poppies that will be part of a tribute at the Devon County Show.
There will be 11,000 handmade poppies displayed in recognition of the 11,000 men and women from Devon who lost their live in the First World War.
The students worked together in groups to form a production line, cutting fabric and embellishing it to form individual and very creative poppies. The poppies they made along will be on display in the Craft and Garden Marquee at this year’s Devon County Show on 18th, 19th and 20th May.
