Results of the meeting of the Full Governing Board of QE Academy Trust held on the 14th November 2017 to consider the proposal to join the proposed Dartmoor Multi Academy Trust (MAT).

QE Governors have voted not to join the proposed Dartmoor MAT. This decision was taken following extensive consideration of the results of the consultation. QE School has a rich and proud history of serving the people of Crediton and the surrounding villages and QE Governors are committed to working with all the staff in the school to provide the very best education for the young people of our community.

In making this decision QE Governors recognised the significant improvements that have been made by the leadership team of the school in the last 12 to 15 months, and we feel that these improvements can best be driven forward by QE Governors working with the leadership team as a standalone academy.

We would like to thank our colleagues in the proposed Dartmoor MAT for the extremely positive way in which the proposal was worked on and created over the last 12 months and we wish the Dartmoor MAT all the very best for the future.
