CLC Multi-Skills Fiesta!

Years 1 & 2 Get Even More Active with QE’s Sports Leaders

QE’s Crediton Learning Community Sports Partnership with local Primaries, welcomed their youngest cohort to some serious sports fun recently, with very energetic, enthusiastic Years 1 & 2 students from Tedburn, Winkleigh, Bow, Copplestone, Cheriton Fitzpaine, Thorverton, Sandford, Cheriton Bishop, Yeoford, Brampford Speke, Newton St Cyres and Landscore getting stuck into an awesome multi-skills session at Western Road’s sports hall.

The session involved 10 stations where the youngsters moved around adaptations of different sports skills featuring rounders, cricket, football, dodgeball, gymnastics, parachute games, rugby, basketball, netball and athletics.

The primary students were taken through progressively more difficult activities by QE’s ever conscientious Year 9 Sports Leaders.

Ross Gillon, PE Teacher at QE, who heads up the CLC Sports Partnership said; “The youngsters invested in the session 100% and had a great time, learning new skills, making new friends and getting to work with the ‘big kids’, our excellent Year 9 Sports Leaders! We were delighted to be able to offer a very exciting and worthwhile day out for them all.”
