Queen Elizabeth’s Modern Foreign Language department organised a unique Spanish experience at Barnfield Campus on Wednesday 5th July. Around 20 Spanish students who are Boarders at QE hosted the GCSE students in Year 10 and immersed them in the language and culture, whilst practicing GCSE questions and answers.
Senora Whittaker organised the kitchen and oversaw the preparation of an authentic tapas menu. Don Addy and Senora Perry Rickard ran the café and once lunch had been served, the students played games in Spanish. Luis Vinnecombe excelled in the Spanish Karaoke and mucho espanol was spoken.
Don Addy would like to thank all of the teachers who helped make the day a success and special mention to Year 12 student, Emily Wilson, who was really helpful throughout.
