“We have seen great success across the board, with a 99% pass rate at A Level and a fantastic 55% of students getting A* to B grades. The progress measures of the students at QE have been impressive for several years and this year is no different. It is down to a combination of an excellent work ethic amongst the students and the expert guidance of our sixth form staff, who are particularly good at supporting our students to progress.
"I am particularly pleased that the full range of subjects we offer at QE are represented in these results. The national press is reporting a dip in the numbers of students entering some subjects, such as Modern Foreign Language and the Arts, but we have worked hard to ensure that the full range of subjects are available to study here at QE, and of course it is great to see the success of the students who studied those courses, such as German and Drama, here in school today.” Rupert Poole, Principal.
Head of Sixth Form Lucy Jones said “It has been a real pleasure working with all the students this year and I’m delighted with the results. Progress and success means different things to different people and here at QE we are all about supporting individuals to take to take their next steps. The hard work and determination of our students has paid off, and the students deserve huge congratulations for all their efforts. Our students will now be heading off universities, employment and apprenticeships across the country and I wish them all the very best. ”
