QE is located in the charming market town of Crediton, in the heart of rural Devon. We are only 8 miles from the vibrant university city of Exeter with its convenient airport, rail and motorway links to the rest of the UK and beyond.

Intercontinental flights into London airports enable students to choose from an extensive network of scheduled routes. Two regional airports, Exeter and Bristol, provide services to Heathrow, Manchester, Belfast, Gatwick, the Channel Islands, and into Europe.

By Road

Linked with the national motorway system via the M5, Exeter is only a few hours drive from all major centres of population. The A377 runs from Exeter, through Crediton and onward to North Devon. Approximate journey times and distances are set out below for guidance.

By Train

Exeter is served by two main line railway stations, St Davids and Central. An hourly Intercity train service brings Exeter within two hours of London and there are direct rail services to other important cities. St Davids is the station most Boarders use, and it is linked with Bristol, Birmingham and the North of England, as well as London Paddington and Waterloo. Central takes a southern county route into London Waterloo also. This links to Channel Ferry services via Salisbury.

Crediton itself has a train station with hourly services to Exeter, or to Barnstaple in North Devon. The station is approximately 1.5 miles from Boarding.
