QE Sixth Formers rose to the challenge of preparing for the wider world of work last Wednesday, undertaking a series of formal mock interviews for a range of real-life jobs.
Students submitted CVs and application forms, before being interviewed by panels of volunteers from Crediton Rotary Club, all of whom brought years of experience in local business, education and industry to bear on creating challenging and authentic interview situations.
Students were then invited back for feedback on their performance. 'We picked up loads of tips on how to write a CV and manage an interview', they commented, adding: 'It was a bit scary at first, but actually it's given me tons of confidence in the end.'
Our thanks to the team from Crediton Rotary Club for sharing their expertise with us.
