Like the aforementioned Banner Making our German Christmas Market goes from strength to strength. This was definitely the busiest year yet! The non-alcoholic Gluhwein flowed, the Sauerkraut was slurped… and no-one was sick this year, Thank Goodness. Lebkuchen and Stollen were munched, Pickles were counted and German Carols were translated!
As always there are so many people to thank… Frau Vanden’s lovely biscuits, Frau Karkeek and Herr Bain’s sales skills, the German Language teachers… a special thank you to Frau Sykes for her generous chocolate prizes and of course, our Student Librarian helpers Elana, Bea, Ella, Sophie, Hannah, Isabelle and Kaia… I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone.
Now we can say that Christmas is waiting in the wings… wouldn’t a little flurry of snow just be the icing on the cake.
