On Monday June 11, QE year 12 students had a fascinating talk from James Kidner. James was at the Foreign Office for many years and has also worked for Prince Charles. Now he is part of a London based start-up: Improbable.
In his wide-ranging talk, James explained what Improbable does and how he became involved in this young company. He spoke to students about the importance of finding your passion and following it, of being single-minded in that, but also in developing aspects of themselves beyond work or study.
James used his own career to illustrate the benefits of change when something isn't right for you, and of taking a risk to do something new that pushes you out of your comfort zone.
It was a truly inspiring and empowering talk and we are very grateful to James for his time and expertise, and to Speakers4Schools for their invaluable help in arranging this event.
